The Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa (Zeitz MOCAA) is a groundbreaking institution dedicated to promoting and preserving contemporary art from Africa and its diaspora. The museum’s vision is to produce and present cutting-edge contemporary exhibitions and historical art knowledge, enhance the careers of Africa’s most talented artists in the 21st century and beyond, strengthen its education programmes and ensure access for all.
The museum’s iconic architecture and custom-designed spaces include galleries featuring temporary exhibitions, with dedicated space for the permanent collection; the BMW Centre for Art Education and the Atelier, which is a project space for emerging Cape Town-based artists; the cathedral-like Atrium with two scenic elevators; the art-inspired Museum Shop; the sixth floor Rooftop Terrace; and the Ocular Lounge restaurant with its breathtaking 270-degree views of Table Mountain and the city.

If it’s a swashbuckling good time ye be seeking, then hop on board Cape Town’s most exciting attraction, the Jolly Roger! The only authentic pirate ship in South Africa sails daily from Quay 5.
There are daily scheduled 60-minute cruises and 90-minute sunset trips, as well as the opportunity to hire the entire boat for your special event. It can carry 75 passengers when sailing and 100 when moored at the quayside. Activities vary in duration from 1 to 4 hours, and the schedule depends on the season and weather conditions.
Treat your children and their friends by hosting their next birthday party on board the fearsome Jolly Roger. There are several packages that include a trip out to sea (weather dependent), lunch with a party box, décor and a treasure trove of activities to keep the whole family entertained. Parties can be tailor-made.
Every Saturday night in the summer season the Jolly Roger hosts her famous 90-minute Sunset Party Cruise with live entertainment.
